For unwanted betting texts on an iPhone in Turkey, block repeated senders and use message filtering when sender identities keep changing. Filtering sorts eligible incoming messages into separate areas of Messages. It does not stop a sender from transmitting an SMS through the mobile network. Keeping a message out of your main conversation list and preventing its delivery are different goals.
Start with the sender pattern
Compare a few recent unwanted messages. Are they from one number, several numbers, or changing business names? A new message from a different number does not mean an earlier block has stopped working. It may simply be outside that block.
For a repeated number, open the conversation and use the sender’s information screen to find the blocking option. The exact labels depend on your iOS version. Apple’s blocking guidance distinguishes blocking an individual from filtering unknown senders.
Review iPhone’s built-in filters
iOS already provides message screening options. On iOS 26, open the filter menu in Messages and choose Manage Filtering. Review unknown sender screening, notifications and the available text message filter settings. Availability can depend on the software version and region. Apple’s current guide.

Judge the result by where messages appear
Use this decision table to choose your first action. These are illustrative situations, not measured AntiSpam test results.

A useful check asks more than whether another text arrived:
- Is the unwanted message in the main conversation list or a filtered section?
- Can you find an expected verification or delivery message?
- Is the interruption caused by a notification, or by the message itself?
- Does the same sender keep recurring, or do senders change?
These questions distinguish classification from notification preferences. After setup, evaluate newly received eligible messages and the selected filter; do not assume older conversations will be reorganised in bulk. If an expected text seems missing, use the troubleshooting guide.
For your own observations, record the date, iOS version, app version, selected filter and destination folder. Count unwanted texts left in the main list separately from important texts incorrectly filtered. A handful of examples cannot establish a general accuracy rate: message type, earlier conversations with a sender and settings can affect the result. This guide does not present a measured AntiSpam accuracy rate or an independent product comparison.
Where does İYS fit?
For advertising from a business you recognise, consider withdrawing its marketing permission through Turkey’s İYS system. Permission management does not itself organise messages on your phone, particularly when a sender ignores your preferences. Sender blocking, consent management and content filtering address different parts of the problem.
