Turkey’s IYS manages commercial electronic message permissions. An iPhone SMS filter classifies messages arriving on your device. These are separate controls. Review permissions when a known business sends unwanted marketing; filtering can help with messages that keep arriving from changing or non-compliant senders.
Start at the official website
Open the official IYS website directly and use its citizen sign-in route to review permissions. You do not need to follow a sign-in link in an unsolicited text.
If you use multiple phone numbers or email addresses, make sure you are reviewing the correct contact detail. Permissions can differ by service provider and channel. Changing a text-message preference should not be assumed to update a separate phone-call or email preference.
The official service and its instructions may be presented in Turkish. This guide helps explain the process, but your actual permission status is the one shown in the service.
Save and check your choice
Find the service provider and relevant channel, record your refusal preference and then confirm the updated status. Note the date if you may need to follow up about later messages.
IYS states that service providers have three business days after a refusal request to stop commercial electronic messages. Do not treat a weekend or public holiday as an ordinary business day when reviewing timing. Refer to the official FAQ for current rules and applicable exceptions.
Not every text is a marketing message
A notification about an existing service or order may be treated differently from promotional messaging. Receiving a wanted service notification does not, on its own, prove that your refusal was ignored. Consider the message’s purpose alongside the official guidance.
Nor does your IYS permission list necessarily represent every sender capable of sending spam to your phone. The system should not be understood as a single switch that stops all betting scams or fraudulent texts.
If unwanted messages continue
Check the saved preference, the date of the change and which service provider the text is actually associated with. Where appropriate, review the official requirements in the Commercial Electronic Message Complaint System. You do not need to click a suspicious message’s links or provide information to its sender for this check.
Meanwhile, you can review the iPhone filtering options for betting spam. AntiSpam helps classify eligible unknown SMS on your device. It does not change your IYS permissions or submit complaints on your behalf.
