This is the English version of AntiSpam's terms of use. They are also published in Turkish at smsengellemeapp.com/terms (Türkçe). The two versions are intended to say the same thing.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are an agreement between you and Okan Can Bolayır, the independent developer who makes AntiSpam and publishes it at smsengellemeapp.com ("we", "us"). They apply from the moment you install the app or select it as your text message filter. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.
Apple's own terms for the App Store also apply to your purchase. How we handle data is explained in our privacy policy.
2. What AntiSpam does
AntiSpam is a spam filter for text messages. It works through Apple's Message Filter feature: iOS shows it texts from senders who aren't in your Contacts, and the app tells iOS whether each one looks like spam. It decides with rules and a small machine-learning model that run on your iPhone.
AntiSpam can't delete messages. When it marks a text as spam, iOS moves it to the Spam list in Messages, where you can still open it. iOS decides which texts the filter sees and where messages end up.
3. No filter is perfect
Scammers change their wording all the time, and no filter catches everything or gets everything right. We work hard on accuracy and publish how we measure it on our accuracy page, but we can't promise that AntiSpam will:
- catch every spam, scam or phishing text; or
- never move a legitimate text to Spam, including important ones such as verification codes, bank alerts, messages from government or health services, delivery notices and appointment reminders. A text moved to Spam arrives without a notification, so you may not notice it.
So please check the Spam and Unknown Senders lists in Messages now and then, especially when you're expecting an important text. And treat any text that asks you to tap a link, pay or share your details with care, whether or not it was filtered. AntiSpam is a helpful filter, not a guarantee of safety.
4. Our liability
The app is provided as it is, without any promise that filtering will be complete or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss or damage that results from:
- a spam, scam or phishing text the app didn't catch, including anything that happens if you tap a link in it, make a payment or share information with its sender;
- a legitimate text the app moved to Spam, including missed codes, deadlines, appointments, payments or opportunities;
- the app not working, or working differently, because Apple changes iOS or its Message Filter feature;
- events outside our reasonable control, such as outages at Apple or Adapty, network or power failures, or cyberattacks.
To the extent the law allows, we are also not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or business, even if we were told such loss was possible.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
5. Subscriptions, free trials and payment
- Apple takes payment. AntiSpam is sold through the App Store. Apple charges your Apple Account and handles billing; we never see your card details. The app checks what you've bought through Adapty, a subscription service (see the privacy policy).
- What you need for filtering. Filtering works while you have an active free trial, subscription or lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app and on the App Store before you buy.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for the next period within the 24 hours before the current one ends.
- Free trials. If your plan starts with a free trial, it becomes a paid subscription when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then.
- Lifetime purchase. A lifetime purchase is a one-time payment and doesn't renew.
- Cancelling. Manage or cancel your subscription in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your iPhone. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription.
6. Refunds
Apple handles all refunds under its own policies, so we can't issue a refund or reverse a charge ourselves, whether it's for a renewal you forgot to cancel, a duplicate charge or anything else. To ask for a refund, go to reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
7. The app belongs to us
The app's code, filtering rules, model, design and name belong to us. You may use AntiSpam on Apple devices you own or control, as Apple's App Store terms allow. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile or redistribute it, or extract its rules or model, except where the law gives you that right regardless of these terms.
8. Changes
We may change the app, its features, its prices and these terms. Changes to the terms are posted on this page with a new date at the top. If you keep using the app after a change, the updated terms apply to you.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If the consumer laws of the country where you live give you the right to bring a claim in your local courts or under your local law, you keep that right.
